Bryan Adams Kicks Off Electrifying India Tour with Sold-Out Kolkata Show

Canadian rock legend Bryan Adams launched his So Happy It Hurts India tour with a sold-out performance in Kolkata on Sunday. The show at Aquatica marked his first-ever concert in the eastern city, though it was his sixth visit to India overall.

Fans were thrilled as Adams performed iconic hits like Summer of ’69, Everything I Do (I Do It for You), and Please Forgive Me, leaving the crowd in awe.

Addressing the audience during the show, Adams quipped, “Is it always like this when you come and play at Kolkata? Then I got to come back more often.”

The audience’s enthusiastic response and social media buzz further emphasized the emotional impact of the event.

The So Happy It Hurts tour spans seven Indian cities, including Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Shillong, and Goa, over ten days.

For the Gurugram concert, silver tickets cost ₹5,999, gold tickets ₹9,999, and premium options like platinum and lounge tickets are also available.

Adams’ Commitment to Indian Culture and Sustainability

Bryan Adams’ tour reflects not just musical excellence but also a deep appreciation for Indian culture. The musician is accompanied by a personal chef, ensuring a strictly vegan menu throughout his stay.

The catering emphasizes locally sourced, organic, and homemade vegetarian dishes, reflecting Adams’ commitment to sustainability and compassionate living.

“No meat, fish, or poultry will be served or cooked backstage at any venue,” reports revealed. This aligns with Adams’ 30-year dedication to veganism, which he credits for his health and vitality.

The tour also prioritizes environmental responsibility, using biodegradable materials and minimizing single-use plastics.

Environmental Advocacy and Veganism

Adams is a staunch advocate of environmental causes and compassionate living. His prior support for initiatives like Million Dollar Vegan has provided plant-based meals to underserved communities in India.

In 2021, his contributions helped distribute over 100,000 meals during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On this tour, Adams is traveling with a 50-member crew, transporting over 10,000 kg of equipment via a dedicated charter plane to reduce the event’s carbon footprint.

The use of biodegradable materials and a plastic-free event setup further underscore the tour’s eco-friendly ethos.

Connecting with Indian Fans

Ahead of the tour, Adams expressed his deep admiration for Indian audiences. “India’s diversity makes each concert unique. When I perform here, it’s all about embracing the local energy and connecting with people on a deeper level,” he said in an interview with NDTV.

Adams’ strong connection with Indian fans is evident in his six visits to the country, dating back to 1993. From his first tour to this current stint, Adams has consistently celebrated the warmth and passion of Indian music lovers.

Tour Milestones and Future Shows

The Kolkata concert set the tone for what promises to be an unforgettable tour. Over the next nine days, Adams will perform in Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Shillong, and Goa, with each city bringing its unique cultural flavor to the tour.

Adams’ environmentally conscious and culturally immersive approach to the tour goes beyond mere entertainment, reflecting his commitment to wellness, sustainability, and meaningful connections with fans.

Bryan Adams’ So Happy It Hurts India tour is more than a musical journey—it’s a celebration of culture, sustainability, and the unbreakable bond between a legendary artist and his fans.

With a series of unforgettable performances and a commitment to eco-friendly practices, Adams’ tour is a shining example of how music and values can harmoniously come together.
